La aerolínea SKY anunció la cancelación de todos sus vuelos desde y hacia el aeropuerto Francisco Carlé de Jauja para los días 4, 5 y 6 de julio, debido a que la infraestructura aún no cuenta con la certificación que acredite el cumplimiento de los estándares de seguridad requeridos para operar.
A través de un comunicado, la compañía lamentó los inconvenientes ocasionados y explicó que, pese a haber confiado en que el aeropuerto estaría listo para reiniciar operaciones el 1 de julio, a pocas horas del despegue del primer vuelo, los documentos necesarios no habían sido aprobados.
“Sin esa certificación, no es posible garantizar la seguridad de nuestros pasajeros ni autorizar operaciones aéreas con tan poca anticipación”, señaló SKY.
Alternativas para los pasajeros afectados
La aerolínea informó que los usuarios con vuelos programados hacia Jauja podrán elegir entre:

Devolución del dinero por los tramos no utilizados, procesada al mismo medio de pago o a través de la billetera SKY.

Cambio de ruta sin penalidad ni diferencia tarifaria hacia cualquier destino nacional operado por SKY en Perú.
-
Gestión de cambios o devoluciones a través de agencias, en caso los pasajes hayan sido adquiridos por ese canal.
SKY expresó su esperanza de que, para el lunes 7 de julio, las autoridades correspondientes logren completar el proceso de certificación que permita retomar la ruta con normalidad.
Por su parte, el Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones reiteró su respeto a las decisiones empresariales, aunque ratificó que el aeropuerto se encuentra listo para operar, conforme a los trabajos de rehabilitación realizados.
