Un reciente informe técnico de una aerolínea reveló detalles preocupantes sobre el nuevo Aeropuerto Internacional Jorge Chávez, cuyo inicio de operaciones fue nuevamente pospuesto para el 30 de marzo de 2025. Según el documento difundido por América TV Noticias, las áreas designadas para maniobras y estacionamiento de Aeronaves y equipos son significativamente menores en comparación con el aeropuerto actual, lo que incrementaría el riesgo de colisiones y retrasos operativos.
El informe destaca que mientras la terminal actual cuenta con 2.500 m² para Puestos de Estacionamiento de Aeronaves (PEA), el nuevo aeropuerto solo dispone de 1.800 m². Además, las áreas de espera para equipos (ESA) se redujeron de 258 m² a solo 74 m². Estas limitaciones, según los gráficos presentados, dificultarían las maniobras seguras y afectarían la eficiencia del flujo operacional. También se detectó que algunas rutas permitirán tránsito en doble sentido, aumentando el riesgo de incidentes.
Ante estas revelaciones, el Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones (MTC) respondió que las nuevas áreas cumplen con las normas internacionales. Donald Castillo, director general de Aeronáutica Civil, aseguró que si bien los espacios son menores, han sido diseñados para optimizar la operación y atender a aeronaves como el Airbus A320. “Hemos priorizado la eficiencia del uso del espacio sin transgredir las regulaciones”, afirmó.
A pesar de las garantías del MTC, la controversia sobre la seguridad y viabilidad del nuevo terminal sigue creciendo. Expertos y representantes del sector aeronáutico exigen mayor transparencia y soluciones a las observaciones técnicas. Mientras tanto, el Gobierno insiste en que la marcha blanca de 60 días permitirá subsanar cualquier deficiencia antes de abrir las puertas del nuevo Jorge Chávez al mundo.
