La Cámara de Comercio del Cusco ha solicitado formalmente que se anule la venta presencial de boletos para ingresar a Machupicchu, exigiendo que todas las entradas se vendan exclusivamente de forma virtual. El gremio considera que aumentar ventanillas en Machupicchu Pueblo no es una solución técnica ni sostenible, y asegura que esta modalidad “obliga al turista a pernoctar en Aguas Calientes y comprar de un día para otro”.
En su pronunciamiento, la Cámara señala que esta situación debe ser visibilizada por INDECOPI y urge al Ministerio de Cultura a dejar sin efecto la resolución que permitió la venta presencial. Además, exige que se auditen las ventas, se mejore el software actual elaborado por la PCM y gestionado por el Ministerio de Cultura, y que se tomen medidas para reducir la informalidad y posibles actos de corrupción.
El gremio sostiene que el sistema 100% digital es la vía más transparente y eficiente para gestionar el acceso a la ciudadela inca.
