Ayer, en una ceremonia cargada de expectativas, Carmen Franco Franco, representante de Caframi Tours, fue juramentada como la nueva presidenta de la Asociación de Agencias de Viajes y Turismo de Arequipa (AVIT) para el periodo 2025-2027. Junto a ella, asumieron sus cargos Luis Espino de Peru Tours and Culture como vicepresidente, Dinea Quintanilla de Maravillas Peruanas como directora tesorera, Yenny Quicaño de The World Peru Explorer como directora secretaria y Carlos Zárate de Carlos Zárate Aventuras EIRL como director de Relaciones Públicas. Este equipo promete trabajar en conjunto para fortalecer el sector turístico de la región.
En su primer discurso como presidenta, Carmen Franco no solo reconoció el esfuerzo del consejo directivo saliente, liderado por Enrique Santana, sino que también enfatizó su compromiso con una gestión basada en la colaboración. “Nuestro objetivo es trabajar de la mano con instituciones públicas y privadas para potenciar el turismo en Arequipa, una región que tiene mucho que ofrecer al mundo”, afirmó Franco, destacando la importancia de la unión entre los diferentes actores del sector.
Con una agenda enfocada en la innovación y la promoción de destinos turísticos, la nueva directiva de AVIT busca posicionar a Arequipa como un referente en el mercado turístico nacional e internacional. Carmen Franco y su equipo asumen el reto de enfrentar los desafíos actuales del sector, con la mira puesta en generar oportunidades de crecimiento y desarrollo para las agencias asociadas y, en consecuencia, para toda la región.
