Un yate turístico perteneciente a la empresa Oceánica Expeditions Perú sufrió un incendio este jueves durante una excursión de avistamiento de ballenas en las costas de Los Órganos , provincia de Talara. A bordo se encontraron 15 personas , entre pasajeros y tripulantes, quienes fueron evacuados de forma segura y sin que nadie resultara herido .
El siniestro fue ocasionado por un cortocircuito eléctrico , según informó la empresa. La embarcación contaba con los permisos legales vigentes y se activaron correctamente los protocolos de seguridad , lo que evitó consecuencias mayores.
En un comunicado difundido en redes sociales, Oceánica Expeditions lamentó la pérdida total de su embarcación, pero destacó que nadie tuvo que lanzarse al agua y que el incidente fue manejado con “ responsabilidad y profesionalismo ”.
“Gracias a la rápida reacción de nuestra tripulación y al valioso apoyo de la comunidad local, todas las personas a bordo fueron evacuadas de forma segura (…). Seguiremos operando con otra embarcación totalmente equipada y segura para continuar ofreciendo la experiencia mágica del mar del norte peruano que nos caracteriza”, señaló.
Autoridades locales, como el gerente de Desarrollo Turístico de Los Órganos, Martín Palomino , resaltaron que este hecho subraya la importancia de contar con operadores turísticos formales:
“Las empresas que cumplen con la normativa y protocolos pueden responder eficazmente ante emergencias”, indicó.
El caso ha generado solidaridad entre los operadores turísticos de la región, que destacan el profesionalismo del equipo afectado. La empresa ha anunciado que continuará sus operaciones sin interrupciones, reafirmando su compromiso con la seguridad y el turismo responsable.
