Este jueves 15 de mayo comenzará la fase de marcha blanca del AeroDirecto, el nuevo servicio de transporte público expreso que conectará diversos puntos de Lima y Callao con el recién inaugurado Aeropuerto Internacional Jorge Chávez. Operado por la Autoridad de Transporte Urbano (ATU), este sistema ofrecerá tarifas accesibles entre S/1.20 y S/5.00, según el tramo, beneficiando tanto a pasajeros como a trabajadores del aeródromo.
El servicio contará con cinco rutas expresas (Norte, Sur, Centro, Quilca y Ventanilla), cubriendo zonas clave como Independencia, San Martín de Porres, Lima Centro, Callao y Ventanilla. Los buses, con no más de 10 años de antigüedad y equipados con GNV o energía eléctrica, incluyen tecnología como cámaras de seguridad, paneles informativos y geolocalización en tiempo real para mayor eficiencia.
Para garantizar un viaje ordenado, se han implementado 57 paraderos debidamente señalizados, junto con personal de la ATU que asistirá a los usuarios. Al llegar al aeropuerto, los pasajeros descenderán en zonas designadas y accederán al terminal mediante un boulevard peatonal. De igual modo, la salida contará con una área exclusiva de embarque dentro del aeropuerto, facilitando el retorno.
Con este servicio, la ATU busca mejorar la conectividad hacia el nuevo Jorge Chávez, que inició operaciones el 1 de junio, optimizando el traslado de miles de usuarios diarios. Además, se mantendrá un estricto control para evitar congestiones, en línea con las recientes restricciones a vehículos pesados en la avenida Morales Duárez.
