Con 19 votos a favor y 8 en contra, la Comisión Permanente del Congreso de la República aprobó en segunda votación, este viernes, el proyecto de ley que extiende hasta el 2027 la vigencia de los beneficios fiscales para micro y pequeñas empresas (MYPES) de hoteles y restaurantes.
La norma permite que estos negocios continúen pagando solo el 8% de IGV hasta el 31 de diciembre de 2026. Posteriormente, en 2027, la tasa se incrementará al 12%.
El proyecto ahora debe pasar al Ejecutivo para su promulgación. En caso de que el Ejecutivo observe la medida, el Congreso podría aprobarla por insistencia.
Cabe mencionar que el Ministerio de Economía y Finanzas (MEF) se opuso a esta iniciativa legislativa, argumentando preocupaciones sobre el impacto en la recaudación fiscal. No obstante, el sector hotelero y gastronómico ha celebrado la decisión como un impulso necesario para su recuperación tras la pandemia.
