Este logro, fruto de años de investigación y gestiones del Gobierno peruano, se basa en documentos que datan entre 1587 y 1613, los cuales demuestran la producción y comercialización del pisco en territorio peruano desde la época colonial.
La distinción refuerza la identidad cultural y el valor histórico del pisco, consolidándolo como un símbolo del patrimonio nacional.
