La ministra de Comercio Exterior y Turismo, Desilú León Chempén, llegó a la ciudad de Huaraz para liderar una agenda estratégica que busca consolidar a la región Áncash como uno de los principales destinos turísticos del país. Durante su visita, participó en la ceremonia del primer aniversario del vuelo Lima–Anta y en la conmemoración de los 50 años del Parque Nacional Huascarán.
Desde el Aeropuerto Comandante FAP Germán Arias Graziani, el titular del Mincetur anunció que se está trabajando en una nueva ruta aérea interregional que unirá Anta con Cusco. “Este vuelo conectará dos íconos del patrimonio cultural y natural del Perú. Es un paso más hacia una red aérea que verdaderamente integra nuestras regiones”, sostuvo León. Además, informó que solo hasta abril, más de 65 mil pasajeros han usado la ruta Lima–Anta, y se espera superar los 80 mil al cierre del año.
Durante su intervención, la ministra resaltó la importancia del turismo como motor económico que fortalece las economías locales, genera empleo y posiciona la identidad peruana a nivel global. Asimismo, mencionó que la reciente aprobación de la nueva Ley General de Turismo permitirá impulsar inversiones y desarrollar nuevas modalidades como el turismo de aventura, comunitario y de reuniones.
Uno de los momentos más simbólicos de la jornada fue la ceremonia en la Laguna Chinancocha, en pleno Parque Nacional Huascarán, junto a los ministros del Ambiente y de la Producción. En el evento, se firmó de manera simbólica el primer contrato de servicios turísticos entre Sernanp y operadores formales. Son 55 los operadores que han iniciado su proceso de formalización en esta área protegida.
El Mincetur también destacó que, en los últimos dos años, se han destinado más de 27 millones de soles en infraestructura turística sostenible para la región. Como parte de sus compromisos, León celebró una reunión con la Red Regional de Protección al Turista, con el objetivo de reforzar la seguridad en la zona, especialmente de cara a la creciente afluencia de visitantes.
La agenda contó con la participación del gobernador regional de Áncash, alcaldes provinciales, autoridades del Sernanp, así como representantes de aerolíneas, organismos internacionales y empresas del sector privado, reflejando un esfuerzo articulado entre el Estado, las comunidades y el empresariado para posicionar a Áncash como un referente del turismo sostenible y conectado del Perú.
