La Cámara de Turismo y Comercio Exterior de Paracas (CAPATUR) anunció la edición XVIII del Festival del Yakumama, que se realizará los días 24 y 25 de mayo en la Reserva Nacional de Paracas, frente al emblemático Candelabro. Este evento, que combina reflexión ambiental y tradición ancestral, busca concienciar sobre la protección del litoral y el mar, uno de los más biodiversos del mundo.
La primera jornada (24 de mayo) contará con un concierto frente al mar protagonizado por artistas como Pelo D’Ambrosio, Mac Salvador y William Luna, quienes interpretarán sus éxitos musicales en un escenario natural. Al día siguiente (25 de mayo), se llevará a cabo la ceremonia de agradecimiento al mar, liderada por el elenco oficial del Inti Raymi del Cusco, incluidos el Inca, la Colla, el sacerdote y 17 músicos. Este ritual, único en el litoral peruano, honra al Yakumama (madre agua) por su generosidad con las comunidades pesqueras de Pisco y la región.
Eduardo Jáuregui, presidente de CAPATUR, destacó que el festival es un “compromiso con la naturaleza”, inspirado en la cosmovisión de los antiguos peruanos. “Es el respeto que merece nuestro mar, fuente de vida y alimento”, afirmó. Se espera la asistencia de 5,000 turistas, principalmente de Lima, quienes disfrutarán de esta experiencia que une cultura, música y conservación ambiental.
