En el marco de su visita a Piura, la ministra de Comercio Exterior y Turismo, Desilú León, anunció el lanzamiento del plan de reactivación turística “El Norte te Espera” , una ambiciosa campaña promovida por Promperú para impulse el turismo en las playas del norte tras los recientes oleajes anómalos.
La iniciativa se ejecutará una vez que las condiciones marítimas se normalicen y busca posicionar al norte como un destino clave para el turismo nacional e internacional. “El turismo genera más de 1,3 millones de empleos y aporta cerca del 2,9% del PBI. Este año, queremos impulsar aún más esta actividad y consolidar al norte como epicentro turístico del país” , señaló la ministra.
Durante las reuniones con las autoridades locales, León también detalló intervenciones rápidas para restaurar las playas afectadas y mejorar la infraestructura. Con estas acciones, el Mincetur reafirma su compromiso de devolverle a esta región su atractivo turístico y dinamizar su economía.
