Quiñones destacó que el éxito dependerá de mejoras en la conectividad aérea y las facilidades aeroportuarias, además del trabajo conjunto entre el sector público y privado. “Si hacemos bien las cosas, podemos alcanzar esa meta e incluso acercarnos a las cifras prepandemia en el 2026”, afirmó.
No obstante, el gremio alertó sobre desafíos pendientes, como las fallas en la venta online de boletos a Machu Picchu, que siguen afectando la experiencia de los turistas. Quiñones instó al Ministerio de Cultura a resolver este problema para fortalecer la imagen del país.
Finalmente, Apotur sugirió ampliar campañas promocionales como “Perú Mucho Gusto” en las fronteras con Ecuador y Chile, atrayendo más visitantes regionales y consolidando a Machu Picchu como el epicentro del turismo internacional.
