El Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones (MTC) inició trabajos de reciclado y recapeo en la avenida Morales Duárez, principal vía de acceso al nuevo Aeropuerto Internacional Jorge Chávez. La intervención abarca 4.2 kilómetros entre el jirón Túpac Amaru y la avenida Santa Rosa, con una inversión de S/13 millones.
Estas obras incluyen la rehabilitación del pavimento existente y la colocación de nuevo material asfáltico, además de la habilitación de un tercer carril para agilizar el tránsito. También se implementarán semáforos, señalización y giros en “U” en puntos clave para mejorar la fluidez vehicular.
El viceministro de Transportes, Ismael Sutta, destacó que esta modernización vial garantizará accesos seguros y rápidos al aeropuerto. En enero de 2025 se iniciarán nuevas obras complementarias para optimizar aún más la conectividad en la zona.
